AN ACT to appropriate funds to guilford county schools for various programs.



The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:



SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the sum of twelve million eight hundred thousand dollars ($12,800,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2024‑2025 fiscal year to be allocated as a directed grant to Guilford County Schools for the following purposes:



(1)        Recruit and retain school personnel.



(2)        Sustain high school learning hubs.



(3)        Expand school safety, including the use of security scanners in every school.



(4)        Expand and sustain career and technology education programs.



SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2024.
