H956: Town of Pineville/Compensate Auxiliary Police. Latest Version
Session: 2023 - 2024
AN ACT to amend the charter of the town of pineville to authorize the town to compensate members of the auxiliary police division for their services when called into active duty.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. The Charter of the Town of Pineville, being Chapter 296 of the Session Laws of 1965, as amended, is amended by adding a new section to read:
Sec. 17.A. Auxiliary Police Division. Members of the town's auxiliary police division established pursuant to G.S. 160A‑282 may be compensated for their services by the town council or by a person given that authority by the town council any time they are called into active duty. The town council shall fix the amount of compensation under this section.
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
